Cooking is always a very important pillar in every culture, but when we talk of Andalusia, its cuisine is an essential part of its culture, history, and lifestyle.
That´s why in Travel and Cuisine in Spain we introduce you, our foodie traveler guest, the Andalusian gastronomic world, so authentic and exclusive.
I am Chef Amelia, and I would love to share with you my knowledge about the culinary culture of my country and my region, Andalusia.
Based on the beautiful southern city of Seville, my cookery courses and culinary experiences are beyond just a cooking class. It´s about passion for food, slow living local culture, having fun and discovering this gifted land, a paradise for gourmands, full of well-known gastronomic gems such as extra virgin olive oil, Iberian ham, sherry wines, delicious cheeses, and all sort of scrumptious tapas.
My hands- on private cooking classes and other one-on-one culinary activities are held in my own house in the local Sevillian district called “Los Remedios”, where I have created a lightful and cozy cooking studio with a central island kitchen. A peaceful and agreeable environment to cook, eat and drink together. Learning to prepare a homemade paella, seasonal tapas or discover the secrets of the best extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) or sherry wines.
"Where ever I travel I take a cooking class and I must say this was the best. Chef Amelia, who speaks English fluently, spent one full day with us from market to table sharing her knowledge and skills of this wonderful cuisine. he best part was that I could replicate everything at home. "
"Amelia's cooking lessons and trip to the market so far surpassed our expectations that I felt I must share the experience. My husband and I had such a wonderful hands-on teaching experience with Amelia who clearly us an excellent chef and teacher! I learned more today about the culture than I did with our many guides and visits to museums "
"¡We had the best cooking class experience ever with Amelia in Sevilla! This was the highlight of our trip to Spain. We are very grateful for her generosity and the extra efforts she made to teach us so much, not only about cooking but about Spanish history and culture."
