Spain is one of the main wine producing countries of the world, so the wine culture is impregnated in the daily and festive life of the Spaniards.
In recent years, new Denominations of Origin, producing areas, wineries and interesting attempts have been made to recover nearly disappeared grape varieties. For all this the Spanish wine stands out for its quality and national and international projection.
In this activity we propose to “drink Spain” discovering important desiganations of origin like Jerez, Jumilla, La Rioja, Ribera del Duero, El Bierzo, Penedés.
The activity consists of a practical theoretical tasting to identify the organoleptic characteristics that are valued in a wine in a professional tasting according to its origin and type of grape. It will try to gather a wide and varied representation of zones, wineries, climates, varieties, elaborations, styles, etc. The tasting will be accompanied by tapas.
